take two banana leaves, their long, so cut them in half, youll have four pieces, fold them in half, place each inside the other, forming a book.
take a manilla folder or a simple cardboard folder, place it outside of the leaves and bind them together with a stapler or a thread. [ i prefer thread, it would look more artsy]

then you will have a folder, paste the printed papers on the leaves.

decorate the cover with bananas.

you use as many banana leaves you want depending on how many pages you have.

this sounds like alot of fun haha.

idea 2.

take a manilla folder, paste banana leaves on the outside of the folder, bind your research paper inside of it, [not pasting them on anything] just use thread to bind them

you will have a folder with a shell of a banana leaf, decorate it with yellow letters, reffering to bananas.

It isn't that difficult to weave a mat from the leaves but I like the idea of sewing pages.....try printing on yellow paper too...and try getting banana essence and scent the pages. You can get banana essence in the baking aisle.

Not to be completely silly, but you could also show up in a monkey suit. I wore a Viking helmet and blond braids to a presentation in college on the Perception of Music............

Natural leaves will get dried shortly and your work will become naught. Now a days, there are lot of plastic banana leaves available. you can use them.
