Juninho is so consistent, it's hard not to give it up for him.
He has been scoring fouls consistently for about 10 years now.
But the best free kicker I had the opportunity to watch was Branco, the 94 Brazilian LB (who was at the end of his career at the time), R.Carlos' predecessor. To be accurate, he began the 94 Cup as a sub, then Leonardo (ex-Milan) got a red card in the round of 16 match against the USA and Branco got to start against Holland in what was to be (in my humble opinion) the best match of that cup. Branco scored the winner on a foul that he himself dug-up (he was also a master at drawing fouls)3x2 Brasil. Easily, the most important goal for Brazil in that cup. What was amazing about him is that he would shoot from any where in the offensive half with so much accuracy and power. The ball would always be on target. I guaranty that R.Carlos learned a lot from watching Branco shoot.

We can make a list of them:

- John Arne Riise
- Xabi Alonso
- Stevie G
- Ronaldinho
- Xavi Hernandez
- Roberto Carlos
- Andrea Pirlo
- Juninho
- Michael Ballack
- Bastian Schweinsteiger
- Thomas Rosicky
- Aliaksandr Hleb
- Thierry Henry

But if I have to chose to best it has to be Juninho, even Pirlo once said that he learned alot from Juninho when people said his free kick is the best!

Juninho pernambucano....nicknamed Mr.Freekick, is the best free kick taker in the world, watch all his freekicks, not one passes without causing even the slightest danger, and he scores most of them....he is the best in the world definetly, beckham comes directly after him...

after scoring the goal against Werder Bremen, Ronaldinho Gaucho of FC Barcelona is still the best free kick specialist. look at how cheeky the goal he scored that night.

David Beckham I would think. He was the absolute best free-kick taker in his day. He works really hard in training to perfect them.
