I have two friends.One is gay and was raised in a loving family and never was abused and he is happy and successful.The other friend is straight and has had emotional problems and a hard childhood and was abused.

My two friends disprove the abuse theory.I think sexuality is something people are born with.While abuse may cause emotional problems and CAN lead to sexual confusion, it does NOT explain sexuality.

I try my best to stay PC but I think there's a very good possibility that some homosexuals are like that because of abuse.
I used to listen to LoveLine on the radio at least every other night and there were so many homosexual and bisexual people who would call in about their problems and their confusion Dr. Drew would almost always nail them with the "okay when were you abused?" and they almost always did have some form of abuse in their history.
I'd love to believe that 100% of homosexuals were born that way but the aforementioned stuff I've witnessed definitely raise an eyebrow. It could be that the ones who are confused (whether straight or gay) are the ones that have been abused and it has nothing to do with whether gay vs straight but rather confused vs not-confused but is there any reliable way to find out?

I'd like to say that there should be no science dedicated to finding out the answers but I prefer truth over ignorance... it's just too bad that certain bigots around the world would use the results in the wrong way (if it were to be conclusive in that way).

They are born gay! Not every gay person was abused as a child. Even some straight people were abused as children.
Sorry, but this question is really rude.

people are BORN gay.
there are many scientific research going on such areas and many scientists have proven the existence of a hormone among gays (although it is still in its research stages)
many people are molested/abused by people of the same sex; that doesnt mean they turn gay. Even if a homosexual person is abused by a person of the opposite sex, he will NOT turn straight;
the bottomline is: either you are born gay or you are not:
ANY CHANGE OF ORIENTATION CANNOT OCCUR :)

I'm not going to join in with the band of people 'telling you off' for the question. I'll only say this, you can say what you like about an individual, but to bring their family into it .... well I don't even need to carry on.

Are you just completely crazy or are you trolling for a reaction? Inquiring minds want to know.

Homosexualism is genetic. I hope your stupidity isn't.
