Maybe I'm missing something, but do advertisers, including the biggy Google, really believe that by exposing people to unwanted ads in the form of pop-ups, re-directed pages, virusus that change your computers home page to theirs without your knowledge, really going to inspire people to buy their products? Do they figure that they can annoy people into buying their products, and are there really people out there that are that stupid? I wouldn't buy anything from these people if their products were the last of their kind on earth.

It's the same concept as junk mail (snail mail). It costs very little to send out and if just a few customers respond, they make money.

I don't know anybody who seriously considers any of those ads.

yes they are so annoying specially when you have one after another and cant even close the window
