lol why would you want to? when you go into a tire shop, they look up what kinda tire is designed for your vehicle. converting the tire size into inches won't help anything b/c they'll have to convert it back into the ''p???/??/R??'' format when they look up your tire size. check your door panel, it usually says what size tire goes on your vehicle there, next to the air pressure specs.

only a few tire shops will be bold enough to deviate from what your vehicle manufacturer recommends.

Edit:

naw, yo, see the first three digits are the section width in millimeters, not centimeters :-p. the second number is the aspect ration. or the ratio of height to width. the lower the profile tire it is, the lower the second number will be. the only time inches are used in the ''p-metric'' system is in the rim diameter. this is indicated by the digits after the letter ''R.''

My Husband works for a tire company so I know a little about tires. The P is the tire # and the R is your inches example ... On the tire there are Numbers and letters mine has 195/60 R 15
the first set are your tire number and after the R is the tires inches. You do need all the numbers when ordering them. I hope this helps out some.

The first three digits are the tires width, the next two are the sidewall in centimeters. The last number is the rim size.
You can look at some tire companies web sites they give all the specs.

it will have 3 numbers, IE: 185/80R14. The first number is the tread width in mm. this tire is 185mm wide. the second number is the sidewall height in percentage. This tire will be 145 inches measure from the edge of the rim to the tread. R=radial type tire. the third number is the diameter of the rim in inches. this tire will fit a 14in rim.

OK, mm, you are right, but I posted my answer first :P
