october was the last time that I received a shot from the doc. and well I'm trying to get pregnant but what me and my hubby are doing just isnt enough. I'm not sure if being hypoglycemic is effecting this in any way or if I just need to wait untill another year goes by to get the shot out of my system? I'm lost in the hypoglycemia thing! What can I do that doesnt cost alot of money???

I am hypoglycemic.... I have been since I was 15, so for 8 years..... 1rst, I will tell you, just have a good diet (fruit will help a lot), regular exercise, even if it is just from walking, and taking some glucose pills wouldn't hurt... you can get those anywhere.... also keep a tube of cake icing with you at all times. if you have a blackout spell, like I have numerous times, the 1rst thing you should do is eat some of it... That is what my doc told me to do.. it will disolve into your blood stream pretty quickly, and as soon as it does, you need to get somewhere, and get something toeat ASAP...., Also I would recommend getting a glucose moniter at a pharmacy, just to have on hand... to keep track of your blood sugar when the spells happen.... If you haven't had one yet, you will eventually....... You can usually feel it coming though... You will feel hot and a little sweaty, and then you will start feeling light headed and then get so dizzy that you may pass out.. When I have my spells, it is weird, because I go through all that stuff, but I don't pass out, my sight just goes black and I am so dizzy that as soon as I move I fall, and I have been hurt many times from it..... You really need to take serious precautions now for that, because it also means that you are borderline diabetic, and if you can't keep it under control, you will eventually turn full diabetic, and noone wants that........ Also I was told to drink diet soda only, however, I finally quit and I would not recommend that.... do a search on Aspartame, and diet soda..... it can kill you, so I would say stick with regular soda, but limit yourself... and drink more water.... usually when you have a spell, your blood sugar will will spike real high then drop off sharply.....

Ok now as far as the shot.... I have also been on that twice, and I was sick, I had severe headaches, and I still had perioids, and although is was an easy form of birth control (once every three months) it started cause to many problems for me the 2nd time around, so I would recommend getting an IUD the next time you are wanting birth control... Look into it, it might be something that you'll like........ Anyways, each time I got off the shot it took me 13 months to get pregnant.... So just give it time, don't stress, and don't give up.. It will probably take around that long for that to be out of your system.... Also, I have heard that for each year you are on the shot, it will take a year to have a chance at getting pregnant.... And I don't know if that is true or not, but each time I was on the shot it was for 1 year...

Depo (the shot) is awfull, please never use again. It can cause infertility as well as usually takes 1 to 2 years for a woman just off depo to get pregnant!

Last Friday I admitted I was wrong to my co-worker. It's not a big deal to me. I know I'm not right all the time, and when not, I admit it.

it can take up to a year to get depo out of your system and i dont know about the hypoglycemia, give it a year before you get too crazy with medicines and such.
