If one becomes gay or lesbian, could they ever be attracted to the opposite sex?

That's really a black and white question.

To say someone "becomes gay" is like painting someone a certain color. And then to "become straight" is like painting another color on top the old one.

This isn't reality.

While science has successfully linked many factors to homosexuality there isn't simply a cause or a cure.

But we can say that everyone is different and gets affected differently by different situations. The outcome of these events can lead to a change in sexual attraction and possibly a choice. It's foolish to "brand" someone like cattle. I do have my own "thoughts" on what causes homosexuality but that doesn't affect my answer to this question.

No, your born gay or lesbian. I assume that you are straight, so that would be like saying that there is a chance of you becoming gay.
I'm straight and I was born this way. I think girls are pretty, but I'm not sexually attracted to them.

it wholly depends on how define each term.. =)

if you had gay as someone who is with another guy and a straight guy with a woman, then simply, when a gay marries a woman, then he's straight. or vice versa.

if you had lesbians as someone who admires and has lust over another girl, then maybe, it is irreversible.

sexuality is really about having this penis or vagina. preferrence comes a little deeper or making choices of whom to love. if choices of chocolates and cakes changes, then why not on the preferrence of sexuality.??

If someone "becomes" same sex preference, the word "becomes" should be replaced by "is". There seems to be four possibilities: without sex preference, other sex preference, same sex preference and both sex preference. Obviously, you are describing both sex preference.
