A first love is always something you’ll remember for the rest of your life.
You were young and innocent.
Full of hope for the future.
You and your husband have been together for many years.
You’ve faced hard times together.
You know him inside and out.
To have been married for the amount of time that you have been it couldn’t have been all bad.
I think the excitement of what could have been and the wondering is confusing you towards your feelings for your husband.
It’s only natural to feel that way.
I’m very happy in my marriage and wouldn’t give it up for anything in the world.
But if I was to run into my first love, I’d probably also be fascinated to see and hear how his been doing.
Go out one night with him and your husband.
Talk and laugh about the good old days.
But don’t ponder on the past too much.
Focus on your husband and everything you love about him.
This could even flame up the love you have for your husband when you realize and focus on how much he means to you.

I had the same problem. There is a special place in your heart for your first love. If you are happy and in a good relationship let it be. You can always ask your self what if. The best thing you can do for now is to forget your feelings.

You remind yourself that you are a grown woman and that you broke up with that guy for a reason. If your marriage commitment is so easily discarded, what are you worth? To anyone? Any guy that looks halfway decent could distract you as easily as this first love ... if you decided to let him. Those flutters of the heart shouldn't be able to dismantle the integrity of a mature person that easily. Who are you anyway? Sorry to be harsh ... my reason is, I could see myself in your position, ten years on, and it terrifies me.

Realize that he is a good fantasy. In reality he has many faults just like your husband and everyone else.
