I have been having some cramps and I should be 7 weeks pregnant going by my previous ultrasound on Nov. 24. I went to the ER last night and the doctors ran my hcg level and it came back at over 24,000. They did an exam and my cervix was closed. They did an ultrasound and all they saw was a sac, no baby.
This is the second time this has happened to me, but the thing I am concerned about is, I have been just spotting and passing slimy stringy clear stuff. Has this happened to anyone else? I see a doctor in the morning, but I can't sleep b/c I am cramping so bad. Does anyone think I will need a D&C?
Another ? is I had to have an emergency c-section 3 years ago b/c I never dialated, would this cause complications in me passing this sac?

I only start spotting after I have been up moving around.

don't worry about passing the sac. It is tiny little at this phase. You will probably need a D&C. I had 2 blighted ovums before I had a full-term pregnancy. The sight of the empty sac on the ultrasound was so heartbreaking. Bless your heart.

We are not doctors. I know you are upset but I wish they had given you something for the pain. A D & C might be a good idea and they are no big deal. I have had 5 of them.
Can you take some Aleve that really helps with cramps.
