ok i got the iTunes from apple.com and when i try to make it work, but it says i need the CD. well, i don't have a CD, so i need to know how to make it work...

Can you tell us if it is a mac or PC, I deal mostly in PCs so it would be helpful.

and could you give the message it says for needing the CD.

It's not asking for the CD. It's asking for the codex, and one of the options it will give you so you can provide the codex is by CD, and since this is the most commonly used option it APPEARS to be asking for the CD.

The codex can be downloaded from the iTunes website, and usually accompany the file (song) you have downloaded. Often the codex is different for every download, although not neccessarily every song. (some downloads are by album, etc). If the codex of the song are accidentily deleted, you can go back to iTunes Site, put in your unique passwords etc, and have the codex reissued.

I downloaded and installed it myself about a month ago. It didn't ask for a CD. I don't know why you're having the problem with the installation. When it asks for the CD, what is the entire message?

well screw you too...i've DL'd it multiple times from the website and i've never needed a CD.
