Why is it that since the liberals won back congress, they have this need to attack Christians?

Could it be that we are the largest voting block in the Republican party, and that scares them, so they have to trot out their left-wing wackos, and attempt to quell us into submission? Well, it will not work.

Besides, didn't the libs already score flocks of us by digging up GOP scandals; magnifying ethics problems in order to obscure their own lack of morality, which is unbelievably worse?

I guess for the libs, when the opposition is down, continue to beat them to death. I hope pulling the wool over the religious right won't work a second time in the next election cycle. I say that because I once attended a church which preached this way. In any case, the idea that there's a concerted assault on Christianity in America is just plain false, no matter what its origin.

Because that is what liberals do that is their job to deny a supreme being so they can do what feels good and not have to worry about the consequences down the road.

To Alicia: Do you realize the words "under God" were added to the Pledge of Allegiance during the McCarthy era? Do you realize there are as many Christians as non-Christians who object to it? Do you really think it's wise to ask American citizens who do not believe in (your) god to include a reference to an entity they do not believe in in the middle of their pledge to be loyal to their country? Do you not see that by pledging allegiance to a nation ruled by an entity that you do not believe in, you effectively negate the entire vow?

Still don't get it? Try reciting the following and see how much sense it makes to you: "I pledge allegiance, to the flag, of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, under Allah, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all." Get my point? If you have to swear allegiance to a god you don't believe in in order to pledge your loyalty to your country, you might as well be spitting on the flag.
