I was in Thailand in a poor province. The people ate grass and bugs; they slept on the dirt ground; they had no education nor medical attention, but they were still better off than the ppl i see living in Mexico. Anybody had similiar expeiences?

I really need to get out more. Is this the truth? The furthest I have had the luxury of going outside of the United States is to Canada and to the Bahamas, and I saw no one eating bugs there at either place.

Really? Mexicans, one would think, would be better off because of the tourism situation. Where in Mexico were you?
