I love Dirty Dancing is so awesome!! So original it will be a classic. Beautiful story line and the way they did everything is awesome!! You can see the emotions in this movie all the struggles and hard work they did to make this movie a success. It's Amazing. On Havana Nights to be honestI have not watched it but the way it looks it looks like it's kinda like a remake of the first one that's why I will not watch it maybe one of these days but until then it's the original oohh yeah.

Nothing can beat the original.
dirty dancing is one of the movies i can watch a million times and never get sick of.
Munchies, Dirty Dancing, Pretty Woman, pillow and a blanket.
Thats the best girly night in i reckon!

The first one is definitely better. It's very well done and certainly has class, more or less. Havana Nights, the way I see it, is not worth watching, because it does tend to get tiresome. Unlike the first one, it may seem a little predictable, flaccid and maybe silly. It's strange, I found, how the movie is set in the 50s (unconvincingly), and it somewhat doesn't fit with the music, which seems more like present day. There is a missing element in the second one - it is not much like the original; it lacks an atmosphere that builds up from the very beginning of the first movie. The first movie is incomparable to the second; it's worth watching let alone for the song that won the Academy Award that year (1987) "I've Had The Time Of My Life".

Dirty Dancing is an absolute classic, however Dirty Dancing Havana Nights is more appealing to modern teenagers. So I think that those who were brought up on the original probably won't enjoy Havana Nights very much, however those who are young teenagers enjoy Havana Nights.

I really like the first one. In fact i own a dvd of it and i can watch it many more times. I've seen Havana Nights, it is not as good, although some of my friends like it as well.
