transfer from the internet or whatever? I see that mp3 players cost less and then there are others with goofy names that sound like some music or radio/networks companies are peddling them.

an ipod is an MP3 player (data storage device, eg files, documents, video ) made by the Apple Computer Corporation. It is the only player that can play AAC protected type music files purchased using the Apple iTunes application/software.
