Benjamin Franklin, was the very essense of a productive brilliant man. With the a great drive for creating better for mankind. He was America's greatest inventor, ambassador, postmaster, newspaper journalist, and the Saturday Evening Post, the Farmers Almanac, with the greatest Limricks that live on today.
And a lover of many women. The funniest thing is that the King of France ordered all single women to lock their doors and set a curfew for them when he was in Paris as the Ambassador for Ben Franklin had several (illegitimate it was called then) children. The King who was trying to discredit Franklin for political reasons got Thomas Jefferson very angry to the point that Jefferson actually threatened his embargo at that time, but it wasnt till way later that Jefferson put the embargo on France. But needless to say that Ben and Tom were close friends, they both took a liking to the Creole women as well.

Founding father, inventor, and letch, in roughly that order. Not only was he a signer of the Declaration of Independence, but he invented such things as bifocals and the Franklin stove. He was a Mason, but he also belonged to the Hellfire Club in London, which was known for its debauchery.

You're going to think I'm joking. But the first things that came to mind was that he was a drunk and a womanizer. I will try to find sources online because it's in my Poly Sci college text books.
