You could have fractured it. Something like that happened to my ankle. I hurt it in october 2003 and it was still very sore well into 2004. I fractured it and never knew, so it healed awkward. You should get it exrayed. If you did break it and it heals wrong, it may have to get rebroken and set in place.

I will assume you had it x-rayed and there was nothing broken, in which case you suffered a soft-tissue injury to the tendons and muscles in your wrist. Unfortunately soft-tissue injuries hurt more and take longer to heal (often up to a year) than broken bones. You should at least talk to a doctor (preferably an orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in hands and wrists), perhaps get another x-ray. You may have chipped or cracked a bone in your wrist. Good luck.

1: fracture (hairline)
2: ligamentous or tendonous injury
3: bone bruise

you need an MRI of your wrist...this will give you the MOST usable info and the next path to take...(like orthopaedic surgery)...in the mean time, take advil(r) or similar, limit the use of your wrist and get a wrist brace to support the wrist.
lets hope that it is nothing serious and if it is, your ex-boyfriend is going to cough up the $$ to get you fixed right...no-one needs to be treated like that!

Sounds like you may have got either soft tissue injuries or nerve damage.

If he did it on purpose, and if he's still your boyfriend, then the first thing you need to do is to get rid of him asap.
