From what i've heard, both deals with slightly different spiritual realms.
Bomohs are often called in to deal with ghosts, which are transformed in malignant spirits(e.g. pontianak). They also deal with curses or imps sent out by other bomohs which had been hired to target a person.
The chinese priests are called in when the ghosts, which are still attached tot he material wolrd due to some reasons. Mostly, the ghosts are not deliberate in haunting people, but rather other just re enacting the lives or was trying to pas a message from the grave.
Malay bomoh often uses banishment spells while the chinese priest will try to talk the ghost into letting go.
Both works well in the corresponding fields, so it is hard ot make any comparison. However, good luck in finging a true practioner in Sg

hi i'm from malaysia.i dun really know about chinese style of catching ghosts, but catching ghosts is a culture that predates the arrival of islam to the malay archipelago by millenea.so nowadays u can only find a few non-muslim malay bomohs or those who r pretending to b muslims but still practice idolatory in secret, bcs in Islam catching ghosts n practicing black magics r strictly prohibited.those who practice these r considered non muslim n pagan.pls dun compare malay bomohs with yr bomohs as yr bomohs r absolutely better, bcs malay bomohs tend to hide in order to avoid the authorities n society,n their lives r very much more complicated.

If your house is haunted better ask a chinese medium if you're
desperate man.
Although chinese mediums in Singapore aren't always the best.
Malay bomohs may be better, but travelling to the location and the
fees for hiring are not cheap.
Ask a pastor if you really, really, really need help.
They're your last hope.
And yes,I'm from Singapore.

chinese language vampires are frightening and often (as seen in dramas and Hong Kong video clips) are very good. although, they're zombie-like and generally seen as being one-minded. Malay ghosts are often unseen and often can purely be pointed out from what they left (headless victims, chilly corpses, bloody homes). Malay ghosts could additionally consult with people and convince them to do issues. quickly, none of those ghosts will win because of the fact ghosts do no longer exist.

I'm Malaysian. I suppose both have their own respective ways of "catching" or "summoning" ghosts. Which one is better? Depends on the nature of the ghost, I think.
