When driving my car in the rain ,I waited until the guy got into a spot where the rain puddles were deep enough to get him completely soaked as I drove by . I was told as a Kid , if your going to do something , Do it right and always give it 110% and don't do just half a job.....Do it all the way or leave it alone .... I'm almost sure he appreciate my efforts.

Like always, hold the door and wait for others to pass and this without receaving any thks. But it is true that the Chinese people are not very polite. Anyway I have been raised to do like that so even if I don't get anything from it, I'll keep doing it.

Maybe shared an umbrella in heavily rain from the bus-stop to the building opposite the road? I often do it - whether a man or woman, young or old.
