No, he is just a compulsive liar. Many people are. Maybe it is because they can't face the truth.

Um watch Liar Liar (a movie with Jim Carrey) in it...hmmm hope that helps. I don't think its a disease, its more of a bad habit. all bad habits can be broken, just get help for him and give it time...
