You misunderstand the eye for an eye system.
The eye for an eye system means that the punishment fits the crime, it is not (nor can it be) more severe than the crime commited.
If a person commits murder he/she is killed. You can't kill them multiple times.
Drugs pose a problem to the system, but I suppose you could make them pay the street value of the drugs. If death resulted from someone using those drugs then the penalty for murder would apply. If crimes were commited by those who were under the influence then those crimes should be applied to the dealer as well as the user.

I have a real problem with the death penalty. THE DONT USE IT ENOUGH ! It should be more like Texas everywhere. We have a express lane down here. We are hoping to be able to rid ourselves of child molesters the same way. Ever see those old chinese historical films. They had the junkies on their knees with their hands behind their backs as the executioner walked down the like shooting them in the head with a pistol. They rid themselve of the drug problem long ago. It could have worked here. Still might be a good idea. Nothing else has ever worked.

i belive in capital punishment for two or more murders, because that was very intentional, one murder,is not always intentional, but two or more leaves no doubt in my mind. i can't plead for two or more because one had time to think between each action, one must think or suffer the consequences. but i take into certain situations, such as a car accident .,but not a shooting or a stabbing
