Yeah i know this is a retarded Questions but what IS a mainstream band?

Cus i guess people say Panic! at the disco Is[ Dont say they suck or anything please] but i serously think their so original. I mean go look up Panic! at the disco lyrics and just read them, ull never find anything else out there like that. Their titles are from movies or book and its just amaZing lyrics. In my opinion that is.

A band that is in the top ranking of the charts that millions of people enjoy to listen to. These bands usually suck in todays day and age.
