Hey... don't think that dear... not every girl from guju family is open minded... ya, there are few girls whose family is able to tolerate the intolerable things... but then, the girls get the same habit from there parents... It depends upon heredity...
But that doesn't mean, all guju girls are open minded.. some of the girls from guju family are shy, some are really very sweet & some are agressive... U never know, it depends on heredity again... :)

I was in Ahmadabad for 7 yrs and found it a refreshing place . Gujarati culture encourages girls & guys to mix so the guys are not so sexually repressed as they are in some southeren states like Kerala where there is even separate seating for the sexes. Look at all their festivals ....garba, kite flying ...they are all communal where there is ample opportunity for girls & boys to meet.
Also I believe the girl can stay in her fiancees house after they are engaged & before they get married as a trial period.
Not so good is the practice of married gujjus legitimately having mistresses !

im gujrati im open minded but ive seen grls of all diff ethnicities who are open minded its abut individuality! not ethnicity....personally i feel gujju families are stricter wit their grls from experience but depends on how backwards in terms of culture the family is to determine how permissive they are with their grls...my family partts of it treid but the part that allowed me my individualism forged me into a person that is open minded and educated
one comments tlks bout herdity---these things are determned by nurture not nature therefore genetics dont determine this it is the environment

Because gujrati family culture and they way grow up makes them feeling everyone belongs to them .. I mean apna samja tha hai

they grow up in joint family.i n family they mix up well.the way they grow up make them understand well.
