no...it is an agreement between you and the seller that you pay for it...he would have to pay another fee to relist it...i'd just put it back on e-bay, cuz you can minimize your losses by reselling, and even make some money

There are a few ways to cancel. The first thing to do is email the seller and ask if you can cancel the purchase. Sometimes the seller will say okay if you reimburse the charge they paid to list it. Also, if there were several bidders, the seller may offer it to the person who bid right before you. The most desperate option is to not pay. However, that will most likely put a no pay strike on your account and you will receive neg. feedback. The no pay strike isn't too bad if you only get one.
The bid is a contract on ebay. You ought not bid if you really don't want an item. But, people are pretty understanding.

You are really something. If you are not adult enough to back up you bid, stay at the childs table and do not bid. I have purchased quite a bit from ebay, it is a nice service, I am amazed to read about the problems they have with people like you.

It is legally binding to bid on there. Yes do a retraction and contact the seller.
And don't bid again unless you truly want the item!

Limited options. You may be able to retract the bid if you have valid reasons and you do it quickly.

ah! the risks of being a joy bidder...
there is no way to cancel and you'd probably be blacklisted from ebay because of that...
you can only call the seller and ask for forgiveness...
whatever you do... comes back to you...
