If you believe the born-agains on here it doesn't matter because if you're saved, you'll be raptured, but for those of us with a brain, it's only a matter of time. Koreans, Iranians, Saudi Arabians, & don't forget that our very own alcoolhic, druggie president has his finger on the button.........Oh Oh!!!!I hear a knock at the door! It's been over 60 years since the last one. Your question implies that they occur on a regular basis. Forget who said this now but "...I don't know with what weapons the third world war will be fought with but the fourth will be fought with sticks and stones." Let's hope the 'Next Nuclear attack' never happens, eh.

I would bet that it could happen within the next 10 years. The mess in Iraq will not be solved but will escalate. Iran will make progress towards acquiring nukes. Syria will help. Israel will be threatened and they have nukes. Take 2 more terms of a democatic party government in USA then a right wing backlash against US militrary losses in the middle east and the problem is still not solved.
Just a matter of time.....

i don't think a nuclear attack will happen to the USA for at least fifty years ....deterrent is best now.....china is the most dangerous.....those frantic Muslims may nuke the middle east or Israel will do it to exist.....USA and the ruskies have military grade polonium 210 in place that can wipe out millions without destroying buildings and infrastructures...and wont be that contaminant in a couple of years...so, look for that kind of attack

Good question humanist!! I am not sure of how many people actually see how much of a threat there really is. Esp. when they start wars for no reason!! I hope never, but I have to say, the way things are going and being treated, I would guess sooner than we think. I hope it will never come to that....

Logically, it could happen anytime.
Since studies show that only about 20 percent of Muslims want to destroy our way of life, then there are over 30,000,000 who would do just that.
If only 5 percent wanted to hurt us, then in the U.S. that would average about 15,000 who would do us harm, and be willing to die while doing it.
I would not bet on nuclear though.
I would bet on mass unexplained explosions by way of propane tanks, gas stations, and gas leaks in buildings.
