If you would count every grain of sand from every beach and every desert in the world, it wouldn't equal the amount of stars that are in the universe... And each one of those stars, like our star (The Sun) most likely has planets revolving around them... Now the odds of our planet being the only planet in the entire universe that supports life is like 1 in 100 trillion trillion trillion... So most likely yes there is other life in the universe... But most likely it is nothing like the life we have on Earth... Life as we know it today came from 13 billion years of evolution... During that time we had countless colossal events that shaped the Earth as we see it today... In order for life to evolve like it did here on Earth, another planet would have had to go through the same colossal events like Earth did... (meteor impacts, volcanic eruptions, ice ages, continental shifts, etc.) Even if a planet didn't have an environment that would be hospitable to humans or other living things, doesn't mean life won't exist...Scientists today are finding all kinds of new species right here on Earth, that thrive in environments that would be deadly for other living things...

Well if it developed here on earth, why not on another planet circling another star? In our own solar system? Most unlikely. They have just discovered the presence of water on mars, here is the link:

Mars has a lot of carbon dioxide in its really thin atmosphere, so humans would have a hard time breathing. Um..they've also just discovered a shrimp they thought had been extinct for 50 million years. It lives two miles deep in the ocean and survives on underwater volcanoes. If they can do it, so can some other little single cell critter on another planet.

Well the other info you have asked for is virtually impossible to give but we a just 1 planet in 1 solar system, there are hundereds of solar systems in a galaxy and millions of galaxies in the universe, some people even believe in multiverses, so it is a mathamatical and logical certainty

Since the laws of physics and chemistry are the same throughout the universe, there is nothing to prevent life from existing elsewhere. It is thought that anywhere you have energy and a solvent (such as water) that life is possible.

Here are some examples for you to consider.

i believe in the theory that since the universe has been around for ever, two advanced civilizations living simoltaniously is unlikely.

Yes it is possible. It probably will not be life as we know it, but it will be life.
