I thought the New Year 2000 celebrations were wonderful, one after another. Thailand (candles on water), Paris (Eiffel Tower pulsating), and Lisbon (fireworks) were my favorites. The orchestra on an Argentine glacier was different....

When tragedy strikes, people sometimes set aside their differences: September 2001 ... or after a devestating earthquake, Greece helps Turkey, India helps Pakistan. That's a wonder, and wonderful.

Absolutely, but for some reason the bad sticks out more. I was told it takes 11 good things to make up for one bad.
