Everyone told me that I was carrying a boy because of having the round "basketball" belly instead of weight all around my hips and butt, etc. Long story short - I had a girl! Don't believe all the wive's tales!

I had a round belly both times I've been pregnant. My first child ended up being a little boy and my second child is a little girl, so the shape of my belly did not accurately relate the gender/sex of my child.
This is a pretty common old wives tale, but just like many of the other gender predictors out there (Chinese calendar, the needle on a string, etc.), this is just a myth.

The belly shape does not distinguish the sex of the baby, regardless of all the myths.

That's totally an old wives' tale. Every woman carries her baby different, and it depends on your shape, weight, and frame. I carried my last baby very low, so alot of people thought I was having a boy, but it was a girl. It really makes no difference.
