Thats a spam. Just ignore it. There are many sites where you can find information about it. I am pasting an url of one of them for your information.

I also recieve a letter of the same sort in the mail. Was your contact named Claudia or Heinz? Either way, I just found out about the scam and I decided to call my bank. The check hasnt cleared yet and the banker told me that if it does clear after the clear date then I'm good to go. He said that he hasnt heard of a scam like this were the check cleared. He sqaid that my best bet would be to just ignore it and wait to see if the money is put in my account after or on the clear date I should still wait before with-drawing. If they find later that the check was fraudulant then they'll withdraw the money. I trust my bank, so i'm just gonna pray about it and sit tight.

If you did not play the swiss lotto but you got the check, I have heard of this as a scam. When you cash it they get your account number and routing number and then start taking money out of your accounts. If you do a search on the Nigerian lotto scam or something like that on urban legends a description with the variations should pop up.

no sadly , it is illegal and if you send them the money, the bank will hold you responsible for the amount of the chack when they do find out its a bad check.
a real lottery sends you a check and you give the taxes to uncle sam at tax time.
tell the bank to shred that check ASAP
i mean, think about it, have you ever entered a lotto game in any foriegn countries?
I myself have won 18 million in the british lotteries. LOL

The Nigerians have a similar scam. I mean ask yourself why would a foreign country be sending you a lotto check. Did you enter that loto.

Like I said Nigerians have a similar scam. Your bank is smart. Do not send anything until they ok it.

ABC 20/20 had a show on it this weekend.
