Katie Couric is a more than capable journalist. How long will her tenure be at CBS? Honestly not so long I fear. Why? She has the personality for early morning. I think a lot of folks have had a hard time making the transition to serious journalism with her. I know I have. Nightly news is a whole different thing than what everyone knows her for, and I don't think people take a woman doing the evening news as seriously as say Dan Rather.
I am a writer, used to be a journalist, and I have checked out her newscast, just to see....I tried to be objective, but I can't like her version of the evening news, and I have tried. If I am considered middle America, and my specific demographic is just that, she doesn't have too long. her newscast has consistently ranked last in the Neilsons since she took the helm. CBS will dump her by next fall guaranteed.

The "perky" one doesn't look so perky anymore :) Have you seen that serious face she's been putting on?
Who knows on when they'll can her, CBS has been making some incredibly bad mistakes as of late. I figure if the network comes in dead last for about 2 months they'll have to call it.

I'm afraid the answer escapes me. What's the perky one? What's CBS? Are you talking about broadcast TV or buggy whip manufacturers? Aren't they they same?
Whoever they are, they lost me as a customer a long time ago...
