Firstly, u have to reduce gradually. Like instead of smoking before breakfast, make sure u have your breakfast first. Or, do not bring your cigarrettes to places where u know the people there do not smoke. Learn to turn down offers of cigarettes

When u have reduced your consumption to a level where u think u can stop totally, do it & never touch another stick again.

Before u do that, make sure u have the support of your family. Better still, include your colleagues & friends. Tell them u will be agitated & uptight; patience will be short; temper might even flare.

Do not use sweets & pickles as substitutes as u might get addicted to them; morover, they are not healthy food if consumed in large quantities.

Exercise & keep yourself occupied to contain the urge.
The 1st week will be tough, but if u keep at it, the urge will gradually be reduced.

But always remember, never, never touch another stick again!
All the best!

Be proud of your achievements. I am.

Dont worry dude you're not alone. I have tried many many times to stop but each time it just got heavier and heavier. I have given up. I just don't have the will power and discipline to make it. I love smoking to much and right now its the only thing that keeps me going in a difficult world. My advice is to stop when you really know you can. In the meantime enjoy!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like lack of self discipline to me. Set a date and just stop. Tell your spouse that you will do the dishes for two years if you break it. That will make you think twice about it before restarting.
