No. Douching forces bacteria up into the cervix and uterus which can cause a serious infection (learned that from my gynocologist). You're body has it's own way of keeping clean and as long as you shower or bathe daily, cleaning the outside of your genitals with clean water and a soft cloth only (no soap: it'll cause irritation. learned that from the gyno too) you'll be healthy.

This does not sound good at all. That area of a woman's body has natural flora and fauna. In other words natural plant and animal bacteria, that is supposed to stay in there.
You could actually get an infection from cleaning to much of this protection out.
What is the problem he is having with women, that he believes they are so dirty. Sorry, I know that comes off alittle abrupt, but I don't know how else to say it.
Could it be that he thinks this will protect you from venerial disease? Because it won't. Douches have no power or protection over that at all.
It might be a good idea if he saw a counselor. Or couples counseling, just to keep him company and encourage him. Good Luck. It sounds like a hard situation.

Douching is unnecessary. Certainly 3 times a week. What exactly is his issue with this? If you are having a foul smelling discharge, it could indicate infection such as Trichomonas or Chlamydia. You may want to be checked for STDs if the problem is a new one (past few months). Some women have a thin discharge as a normal part of their menstrual cycle. You would know best if any discharge, change in vaginal secretions, or smell is new.

No! Infact, douching causes yeast infections, etc. and even cervical cancer they have found. Overall, it washes away essentials in the vagina and unbalances the PH. It will wash out the "good" natural bacteria that stand guard in the vagina to take on any "bad" foreign bacteria entering the vagina. It's not healthy at all. I would save this for VERY special or rare conditions. If your boyfriend cares for you, research the hazards associated with douching together and see if he still isists you do this. If you keep yourself clean down there, there's nothing you need to worry about. The vagina is self-cleaning. Let it do its thing.

Although it may not be causative, douching is associated with an increased risk of several health problems in women. There is a good summary at the link below.

Sure and tell him guys need to have an enma every day!
Seriously your boyfriend is messed in the head. Douching is not even good for you and it can cause cancer. The vaginia naturally cleans it's self out. Check out the link below that explains more why it is bad.

this is not ok, and i think you need to have a good think about the things you've written here. obviously you think there may be something wrong otherwise you wouldn't have submitted this. he seems to have extreme issues with hygiene and neatness, that would certainly get in the way of my libido!! perhaps you need to have a talk with him..

douching isnt good in the first place, it kills good bacteria and can cause major issues. especially if he wants you to do it 3 times a week. just tell him to love you for you, not because in his mind your clean or not.

First of all you never need to douche, you don't want to disturb the natural ph in your vagina (unless, it's medically necessary). 2nd of all is this the right relationship for you? You need to do what's comfortable for you, it's your body you get to decide.
