What do you think this comment means that my grandpa used to say?

"You are the flower of the musical world...a blooming idiot."

Grandpa use to say that to his grandkids and we would laugh..We knew he was insulting us but never knew exactly what it meant. He thought he was funny..like telling us to go play in traffic, etc.

I REALLY like it. :) It sounds funny, but I think you are right it is insulting when you start thinking what it really means. I even know already who will hear it from me.... :)
