10 points name key board short cuts and quick ways around things?

Question

in all programs used on a computer

the person with the most gets the 10 points
stuff like hightlighting 1 item in a list then pressing shift holding pressing up or down to hightlight a long list for copying

or to get an exact search in the address bar type your key words like this I+want +to+find+gold

or how to shift through different windows

control alt delete

or commands on the key board for characters in the character map

and how come if i go back to fix what i mesed up when i am typing it types over the other letters and i have to cut and paste what i want to keep

For a list of shortcuts, you had better google for them. That way, you can learn more than by just asking for specifics. Still, to answer the last question, you've got to press the "Insert" key on your keyboard and type, if it does that kinda thing.

To shift through different windows, Alt+tab, or, with multiple windows open, right-click on an empty space on the taskbar and select "tile windows."

Re: Typing over - sounds like you accidentally hit the "insert" key. It is a toggle - press for on, press for off. With insert on, text added will appear to the left of the cursor.

as far as your last question about your typing going over what you have already typed, you have the insert option on. hit the insert key to the right of your enter key (it's above the delete key). that should fix that problem. have fun.
