Well, if you mean "Get rich quick" schemes - they are just that, schemes. Scams. shams. empty promises.
"Make millions at home on your computer" is as empty a promise as swampland.
That being said, some sites out there pay you some pennies to read e-mails or click through surveys. You should probably expect a return of about $0.25/hour (ACTIVE hour) when all is said and done.
Maybe you can spam the world and make some money, but it's a sure guarantee if they want to tell you about it - it's a scam. Otherwise, why wouldn't they just do it themselves and get more money.
