Okay, i did shitty in highschool and on sats. For sat's (the new one) I got a 1500. If need be, im sure I could do better on sats for a retake. At least another couple hundred points. Right now I go to a community college. I am doing pretty well now and getting pretty much straight A's. I want to get into a 4 year school though instead.

I don't want to finish my 2 years at the community college.

Does anyone know any schools I have a chance of getting into within the U.S with a semester or 1 year transcript from my community college.

Right now I am majoring in computer information.

I had the same situation like you :)

I went to Community C. last semester, and right now i am at 4- year college.

First of all, if you did not good at college and at SAT, just put this away...!

Think about how fast you can get at total 24 credits at your ccollege.Because, if you have at least 24, you do not need to show your highschool diploma or SAT for your 4-year college application. 24 credits would be enough...

second, including 24 credits, you should have taken English Composition,(it's reqiured for trasnfer students for most Colleges). If you are not taking English comp.1 for your current semster, don't worry.Apply for the CLEP exam for ENG1.

CLEP is an exam, which you can earn credits for your college anytime...(i earned 12 credits with this test, with only one foreign language test, and is almost a semester valued)

i don't know if you are a part-time or a full-time student, but CLEP will help you definitely,by going faster to a 4-year college.

i.e: I am a full-time student at currently i take 14 credits.Plus i want to try US History with CLEP(which is 3 credits if you pass)
during my semester i also took CLEP, and i passed...so end of semesters.you earned 17 credits...isn't that good,wooow..!and 3 credits only for $ 60....!!!!

This is fantastic,isn't it...

To get more information about CLEP,just take your time, and click to Collegeboard.com, or search the word CLEP with yahoo search....

Good Luck!

You should check out Cal State San Bernardino. It's a pretty good college and is one of the only colleges I know of that accepts students with lower than 60 units.

You school should have a list of schools that can take you as a transfer student. Look and see if their is a transfer department. Then from there look at any state school in a state you would want to live in, almost all except international transfer students.
