I'm wondering if having a row of 3 studs on the flappy part of each ear would look alright. Do you think it would look cool or just plain ugly and weird?

On me, no it would look pitiful.
On you, if you are young and hip sure. If you are over 35 (as I am) trying to look 20 (as I am not - couldn't if I wanted to :( stop you're making us all look lame.
