Look in your family tree and see if any of your long lost relatives are in government. Nepotism has been the key for many who found jobs in government. Otherwise join a political party and make yourself known. Good luck.

Well first ya have to clean up ya trotters real good, cos boondock stink aint appreciated in the capitol. Then ya have to improve ya table manners cos all that grunting and snuffling around aint appreciated at 'power lunches'. Most certainly ya gotta stop calling your wife an ol' sow - that simply aint PC and as we all know washintun aint nuffin' if it aint PC. Given your heritage I think it would be better to agree also to not sponsor any bills involving pork whether in a barrell or out of it. And PLEASE dont sweat like your relations.
