The aviation alert is HIGH because we are entering a high Air Travel season. So many people travel home for the Holidays, over an extended period of time.

The High Alert reminds travelers to be cautious and to pack the correct Items when they travel on the airlines. There will be greater law enforcement presence at all airports.

No one can ever be certain that our Air craft will not be attacked again. Terrorists cause Terror. Fear and apprehension.

From a military point of view, the September 11th attacks were a near statistical impossibility. The Chances of four airliners being hijacked with In a few minutes of one another.

The Tet offensive, The Battle of the Bulge, Pearl Harbor and 9/11 were all successful attacks because no one was expecting the attack. Those that did warn of any impending attack were not listen to...a Historical fact.

It is also a statistical fact that no matter what you do to prevent an attack, some one will get through. That was proved during WW2 with the Japanese Kamikazes. No matter what the US Navy did, one, two or three planes would get through.

Enjoy the forth coming Holidays and God Bless.
