The monitor and CPU is on, but i get nothing on the computer screen. The only thing that is working in my CPU is the fan. It's like my CPU won't start, what is the problem?

If I send it to computer experts to fix this problem, will I loss my data in the hard disk?

some other answers to this might be textbook and logical but in my experience a few months back my computer crashed due to limewire. it's possible your computer could have similar damage. what happened to mine is that: it wouldn't turn on, the fan would whir for a few minutes then switch itself off. sound familiar? i brought it to best buy, i recommend you do the same whatever your problem may be. they're very nice there.

Aside from what others already had you specify, is the motherboard connected to the power supply or just the CPU fan? Check all connections, but make sure you are not "hot wired" when you touch the inside with your anxious, sweaty hands. :-)
- Can you see a lit LED on the motherboard when you turn the power switch in the back on?
- Does it light up when you then turn on the one on the front panel?
After all this works, you should see something or hear some beep codes (e.g. five beeps for a video card problem, or so)
You may as well describe your pc's internals to allow us some more diagnostic guessings.

I think its gone bye bye my friend.
A PC that gets power but doesnt beep is not posting is not pulling the "bootstrap". My guess is the Motherboard is fried.
Beep Code: Description of Problem:
No Beeps Short, No power, Bad CPU/MB, Loose Peripherals
One Beep Everything is normal and Computer POSTed fine
Two Beeps POST/CMOS Error
One Long Beep, One Short Beep Motherboard Problem
One Long Beep, Two Short Beeps Video Problem
One Long Beep, Three Short Beeps Video Problem
Three Long Beeps Keyboard Error
Repeated Long Beeps Memory Error
Continuous Hi-Lo Beeps CPU Overheating

If it was working before and you haven't messed with it... like disconnecting things and reconnecting them, then I suspect it is one of these possible hardware problems.
1. The CPU failed
2. the mother board failed
3. The graphics card failed.
4. the power supply failed.
Since the fan turns on, the power supply is least likely.
You may need to take it to a computer repair shop.
If you send it out for repair it is unlikely that you would lose any data, however, they could possibly see anything and everything on the drive.
Good luck!

Is your monitor connected all the way into the CPU ? If yes, try messing with the display buttons that could have been pressed on accident. That doesnt work then call the company you bought the computer from.

yeah, this is a simple, common problem.
Open the RAM, clean it and put it back. It must solve the problem.
