Control Panel> System> Advanced> Settings(Performance)> Advanced> Change
go to those things in order and at the end you are asked to what amount of virtual memory you want to change to

As I recall, the virtual memory increases automatically, just as it does in Windows XP. The limiting factor would be the amount of free space on your hard drive.

Right click on My Computer.
Select Properties
Select Advanced Tab
There somewhere you will have setting for Virtual Memory.
I am not using Win2000.

better to increase your ram in your computer. all computers need atleast a gig of ram to function good. but the more the better.
