I have a home theater hooked up to my tv as well as my satellite service, which both have sound..but how come I can only get video when using the PS2?? Do I need a special cable for that??

If you are using component cables for the PS2, it doesn't have any sound attachments, you have to hook up an optical link cable which plugs into the back of the PS2, then into the receptacle in the back of your surround sound system.(note: the component cables for the PS2 do not have the left/right stereo cables originating from them, and you will know this by seeing that you only have 3 cables, red, green and blue).

not really. the paystation 2 is supposed to come with the plugs and everything u need to hook it up. my playstation 2 has this cord that has red, yellow and white and all i do is plug that into the red, yellow and white holes on my tv and switch it on, and it works. just make sure everything is in order. make sure things are plugged in properly, make sure you're on the right channel, and it should be working

Mabe it just does not work with that kind of TV.

like Wii does not work with zoom box
