I am the only one who sees this as uneeded running up of points? Anyone else who is a Dallas Fan at least pissed at T.O. again droppinf passes? I know some are tough but it seems he can catch a ball thrown from space-unless and until he wears a Dallas uniform...hmm kind of like Deion Sanders with interceptions?

Ok. first you sure as hell do not know me, to say whether or not I am a man. ...and you do not seems to be a Dallas fan. I am aware that coach Peyton's job is not to keep his team from scoring points. I am saying that with the lead they already had, it was at the very least a highly unconventional call-and seems to be much more rubbing it in than insuring a victory(which was assured every time N.O. had the ball-they scored).

Hell yes I am mad. Let's see no one likes to lose. and yes I give credit to Bush, Brees ,and the whole N.O. team.
What I am asking is only about the call for the onside kick-and only about that as far as the coach Peyton question. The ranting was about T.O. dropping balls.

Well, at least that's it. I suppose we can remember that when the teams meet again, and(if?) the tables are turned.
BTW, I have much family in La. and an happy if that affects the state in a positive manner, as well as seeing N.O. in the Superbowl-for the first time ever would be great if we do not make it.

OK, I am a true Cowboy fan and I must first say you are embarrassing us...period...if Dallas would have had that lead and pulled the same thing you would be boasting about how smart Bill Parcels is and such. We got beat tonight, not by a better team, but by a better prepared team. In this league you must do whatever it takes to secure your lead, and if you are being beat by 25 points you should be doing whatever it takes to get and secure the lead. I guess you thought it was unfair that Reggie Bush ran like he did huh? Maybe you would respect him more if he would have crossed the 1st down marker and stepped out of bounds huh? You are an embarrassing excuse for a Cowboy fan!
I tip my hat to New Orleans, they prepared and preformed better, and who knows, we could meet again in the playoffs.
I give them credit too-and feel this was resolved. I do not watch PBS nor expect "fair" standards, in fact will not allow my children to use the word "fair" ,rather I expect them to use "just

Was a personal attack warranted here either? BTW I allow almost no PBS, since much of it is a lot of crap. Again, I know now that at best Peyton had a rift with Parcels and that most see it as strategy. BTW I did not like the points run up in the 93 Superbowl 52-17 over Buffalo either-regardless of who it was. I was speaking of sportsmanship, ironically what I think you alluded to. I will take your point and respect it,in regards to sportsmanship, though. Thank you

hmmm it could have ben stupid, chickenish, scared, selfish but who the hell cares you take that they still lose
it doesnt matter so take make that an excuse for the bad game
how about ur dallas defense no pics on drew brees he threw for 384 yards thats why you lost.... so dont blame a hell of a coaching call by the coach of the year blame your defensive cordinattor for being a dumbass
Hmmm. Did I blame that call for the loss? Perhaps you could point out exactly where I blamed that call for the loss. I agree that we made some poor calls-and were out coached and outplayed. Again, could you point out to me where I specifically blamed tat call for our loss?

"if it was my team playing the Saints I'd think it was a crap call too, but I can respect it because it worked."
No one disputed that it worked, what was being questioned was the sprtsmanship and ethics of doing so. ..I got an answer to that about Payton proving a point to Parcells and all.... so that is that. BTW, I am careful who I tell to be a man and all that ****-you assholes should be too.

When coaching with the cowboys Payton was always accused of running what Parcell's labeled "jap" plays in practice-suprise plays other teams would never call against them in games. This angered Parcells and the defensive coordinator so I believe it was personal for him to call a "jap" play to prove his point. If he was truly running up the score he wouln't of called kneeldowns with 3 minutes to go.

As a LONG time dallas fan, I say this: this is one game against a team that has the best season they have had in a very long time, the Saints have always been a team I liked, DALLAS,#1 Denver #2, Saints #3 Cincinatti #4,
I have a felling This game will give Dallas a lot more perspective on what they need to do to win the last 3 Games, Next Week Atlanta and I'm sure they Dallas will have a new perspective on what they need to work on, and they will win with more character and poise the next games they win. Some time a team on a roll need to get burned in order to get their perspective straightened out, a iron out the wrinkles.
It isn't often a Coach gets a penalty, I thought that was interesting in itself, as for the onsides kick, it was an interesting strategy that worked for the Saints. The Saints Played a very good game, and the Cowboys, aside from the dropped passes, made an effort to win.

I'm not sure how you can call that play chickenish. I thought it was absolutely genius. However, if it had failed, then we'd all be sitting here saying "DAMNIT SEAN PAYTON!!! HOW COULD YOU MAKE THAT CALL!!" He did it to make sure he could seal off a win for his team, and it actually worked. It doesn't really surprise me that you would say it was chickenish, if it was my team playing the Saints I'd think it was a crap call too, but I can respect it because it worked.
I'm not a Dallas fan. I'm a Giants fan, so you should already guess my feelings about Dallas. T.O. seems to be the Plaxico Burress of the Cowboys. They catch in a sort of "bipolar" fashion. One day it's on high, the next it's just completely off.
It was a hell of a game, and it was about time that Dallas had a bad game. You can't go on that much of a winning streak without something going on, and I think Louisiana doused Romo's fire.

The onside call was GENIUS...
It could have very easily been 49-17, but the Saints took a knee in the red zone.
I am a Saints fan, but I am a good football fan more so.
It was a legitimate play and should be used more often, instead of just a panic call.
The Saints played hard, and supposedly is ranked 25th in the run defense....

It is clear that Payton has a beef with Parcells. As Payton was on Parcells staff for a few years and comes into Dallas and mops up Parcells and it wasn't enough - he had to have more. Parcells has that way with people. He rubs them the wrong way and people come after him and it becomes personal.
This was not an attack on the Cowboys, it was an attack on Parcells.

Suck it up Dallas fan, The Saints are playing awesome this season. Sean Payton is an awesome coach. Brees & Bush owned the field. The Saints are well on their way to winning the Superbowl & making history and we here in Louisiana will be celebrating. We're proud of the Saints.

i am a true cowboy's fan. i must admit they got beat badly today by the saints, however i do not want to see n.o. go to the Superbowl because all the n.o. fans will be talking about good for the city because of what happened with the Katrina horror. I'm just sick of hearing about Katrina horror, if you are for n.o. saints just say it. i agree with you, t.o., d.sanders, k-shun and parcel's are all washed up coming out of retirement players, can someone tell j.jones to get some fresh out of college young eager players.

To CaboWabo when Payton was selected as coach for the Saints, someone asked Parcells if he thought Payton was ready and he said that he didnt think he was. I guess Payton wanted to show Parcells just how wrong he was.
