He rips it from pop culture at least the new ones are. You'd be suprised at how many things you can just throw in a show and have people think it is funny without any effort.

I thought South Park explained it, The manatees used the plot balls and swim various ideas to the other side. It was the whole reason Muhammad boycotted FOX NEWS... Thus starting their push to the right. I for one would hope Cartman and Bart Simpson would find peace with the fact at least they don't kick stewie through windows. So, not a complete ripoff.

It's funny how all of these cartoons nowadays are stricktly geared towards adults!

ACTUALLY...they use a lot of the stuff their fans send in if you check some of the old shows they actually tell people they are using some of the fans suggestions in the show. they get tons of mail.
