You can call any charity and even some churches in the area: Goodwill, Kidney Foundation, Cancer Society, or local churches.
If you can't get them to come for it, then find out where the local landfill is in the area. They will let you dump furniture and household items.
I would never pay someone to do this job. As a last resort, put a sign out front "Free Furniture" and let people haul it off themselves.

Personal hygiene products (soap, toothbrushes, etc.) can be donated to a homeless shelter. You can probably use Google or the phone book to find the nearest one. Household cleaning products (bleach, rags, etc.) and other items (old towels, trash cans) can be donated to an animal shelter. Any other random things you find around the house, like your utensils, can most likely be sold at a Goodwill or Salvation Army. I know this isn't "everything being taken at once", but three separate trips will still be manageable. As you're going through your things, throw them into separate piles (One for Goodwill, one for the animal shelter, etc.) and you should be good.

all the above is good someones junk is anothers treasure but if it is all for the tip in our city we can phone the environmental dept[ those that collect our weekly rubbish be in ur phone book] and ask them for a bulk collection though they do limit it to 6 items[ i have got rid of sofas beds and wardrobes and carpets] can be a long wait for them to come out depending on how busy they are but you can jus dump it in your front yard as that is where they will collect from

If your city any thing like mine. just sit it on the curb and someone will take it. its called neighborhood recycle. going to charities is cool, but they have a lot of restrictions on what they can take, only Pick up certain days. It can be a pain. but its still the right thing to do.

The charities the others have mentioned are all good ideas. If you want another alternative, you might check with your local FreeCycle.org

Good Luck with the move!

The best thing you can do is give it to someone in need. If in decent shape, call your local Salvation Army, they will pick it up from your harm

Call Goodwill Industries, Disabled Vets or ARC. They will come pick it up and you can get a tax deduction.

call the salvation army or goodwill. they'll take it and it'll go somewhere good, as opposed to a dump.
