A lot of that depends on where you are, and by the way ... good for you. It's nice to see people going out of their way to help others, especially at this time of the year.

Call agencies in your area that deal with low income, such as the salvation army, march of dimes, etc. They'll be able to point you in the right direction. You can also try calling your local childrens aid agency, they'll have numbers to poverty organizations for this purpose, like the christmas cheer board, toys for tots, etc.

The local food shelf, (check with your city/county health department to find them). They will also have a list of other agencies that may help. The food shelf provides a lot of food.

I just helped my friend by calling a bunch of agencies. She had no idea that she qualified for so much. So, call WIC, midwives, and any local agency that helps out parents in need.

Call a restaurant and ask them if they would donate a meal. Tell them about the families situation. They may want to help. Be sure you are talking to the owner or manager though.

The Salvation Army has a list of Resources as well. Plus, they usually have a Christmas Toys for Tots, (though it may be too late to sign up). Talk to your, or their church pastor. Let them know they are in need.

Go to freecycle.org. and join up. There you can get all kinds of free things. It is an awesome site.

Good luck

I not sure. it might be too late for that. most places take names down in november fo that kind of thing. try asking the salvation army or a community care. they might know. try going to local grocery stores and ask if they are making any donations to families this Chrismtas that need food and sometimes they will give a donation or let you know where they have already donated to so you can check with those places. try and get some friends and family together and collect some canned goods. I know i always took stuff from my parents house because we had tones of canned goods to give away. I think finding meals for people for Christmas is a really great thing for you to do. People deserve a good meal and warm clothing for the holidays. I dont really agree with people looking for gifts for Christmas though. taking care of the families needs come first. good for you!
