Vet school is already a highly competitive specialty to get into without the marks on your record. Most health professions are going to be difficult to pursue and most academic programs (varying by state) will have their own criteria for what kind of background will be acceptable for admittance so do some research.

I'm also in a similar situation and the major careers that will be more difficult with a record are health care/ teaching/banking and finance. That doesn’t mean that its impossible but you will really have to stand out above the rest of your class. Just slow down and take your core courses and see what else interests you. You may change your mind anyway and hey....you could always a Lawyer:)

You'll always run into people who are understanding of the fact that people make mistakes but there will also always be the people who don't care. Good luck and it'll all work out like its supposed to.

I would think so the only thing crime I see getting in the way is some thing to do against kids . That's when me and any self respecting employer will put our foot down good luck if you need call around vets and ask them there opinion and find out good luck and stay in school good for you . God Bless..

You could always just start your own practice.
