Yeah i know it's an age old complaint, butwhy is it that whenever you think that things in life are going smooth sailing, something or someone comes along that keeps making you think that there's no hope? This is how my life has been the last 3 months. It's either perfect one month or rotten the next month with no middle ground.I don't have trouble staying focused, but when someone says something that pisses me off(even in a joking manner)or something happens that pisses me off,i take it as the end of the world and go through extremely disruptive patterns of thinking. This might be in part to being oversensitive and having a rough childhood, but it just seems like things are unbearable, especially when other parts of my life such as finances,or trying to find work,or relationships aren't up to par.In other words,a minor event that seems miniscule to someone else could add fuel to the fire.

I'm sorry you're having a rough time. I've had periods like that and I know that it's easier to be sensitive to these things after a tough childhood. Depending on how rotten you feel, and how often these low periods happen, you might want to see a counselor. If you feel like it's not bad enough that you want to do that, there are some great self-help books. I personally found Feeling Good by David Burns to be really helpful when I was down. Take really good care yourself during the down times by eating well and getting enough sleep. I wish you well.
