I wasn't shocked in the slightest. I was, however, a little embarrassed to remember that I had a crush on him back in his Doogie Howser days.

Actually, this is the first I've heard about it. Gossip runs amock in these parts....I know he is a good actor, though.
His sexuality hasn't baffled me in the past so I guess it doesn't seem strange to me now. The contraversial issue of Gay or Strait Actors doesn't matter anymore. No one cares so it's not contraversial. It's not a shock anymore for someone famous to come out of the closet. So I say, "Groove on, Neil!"

Not shocked, just another piece of information about a celebrity for me...although, I do like Clay Aiken and I will be sad if and when he comes out. Seriously! I find the guy attractive, can't explain it...just seems like a nice guy who has morals. I'm liberal so I'm not into being all pious, but I do like those who aren't always pushing sex into entertainment.

No it really didn't surprise me. Especially after I saw him on Will and Grace. I do know that that TV show is fictional but they tend to cast people in roles who are either Gay or Lesbian or have a large Gay following. He played his role too well.
But even on his show he seemed a bit effeminate.

Kinda surprised especially since his character plays a womanizer on the show. I guess that makes him a good actor.

have you seen harold and kumar go to white castle...well in he plays himself not a stretch but wait it is he said in that move f white castle it is a sausage fest in here lets go get some pun tang....so maybe it was a stretch ....he is a actor...that is what he gets paid to do but to answer your question yes
