1) Investment banker. These are people who arrange stock deals between companies, help one company buy another one, etc. Almost every major bank has an investment banking department. Many higher level investment bankers make hundreds of thousands of dollars a year, and the top bankers do make millions every year. In fact, you are almost guaranteed to become a millionaire as an investment banker if you never quit and are never fired.

What's the catch? You probably will quit, or be fired. It's the most competitive job in the world, requires extremely long hours (straight out of college, you will be working a minimum of 12 hours a day, 6 days a week), is boring and repetitive, requires lots of kissing up, and is highly stressful. All you need is a college degree (from a good university) and motivation.

2) Management consultant - look up companies like BCG and Bain - is also a very highly paid field. After a few years, you can earn hundreds of thousands of dollars a year. It's also competitive, intense, boring, requires lots of time and kissing up, and is highly stressful. All you need is a college degree (from a good university) and motivation.

3) Of course, doctors and lawyers always make good money. To become a doctor, you need four years of college, four years of medical school, and three or four years of internship/residency. To become a lawyer, you need four years of college and three years of law school. Both occupations are relatively stressful, and being a lawyer in particular is similar in pay and stress to being an investment banker or management consultant.

4) Dentists make good money, and dentistry is less stressful than other medicine (few people need emergency dental care). To become a dentist, you need four years of college and four years of dental school.

5) One recent dream job is laser surgery. You would need an ophthalmology degree (basically, four years of med school after four years of college), but when you open your open laser surgery clinic, you can make hundreds of thousands, and even a million or two, dollars per year.

6) Mutual fund or hedge fund manager. You start as a lowly analyst straight out of college, but eventually (within 3-15 years, depending on the company, your skill, and luck) you can manage a mutual or hedge fund. Mutual fund managers are paid a percentage (typically 1-2%) of assets under management, so if you're managing $100 million, you may receive $1-2 million a year. The most skilled mutual fund managers become hedge fund managers, because hedge funds charge 1-2% of assets, plus 25-50% of profits. The best hedge fund managers earn several hundred MILLION dollars a year.

7) Investing in real estate, business, or stocks. These are not exactly jobs, but research has shown that most rich people became that way through running their own business. Real estate also makes many millionaires. Stocks rarely make the individual investor rich (they mainly make brokers, analysts, and fund managers rich) - unless you have enormous discipline and emotional control, or are willing to grow rich slowly (over 20-30 years).

In any case, most people never become millionaires, even if they have huge salaries, because as soon as they have more money, they spend it all. You might want to read The Millionaire Next Door (check it out from the library to save money) to better understand this. The secret to amassing great wealth, in 80-90% of cases, is not making a lot of money, but rather saving a lot of whatever you make, and investing it in business, real estate, bonds, stocks, or whatever else can generate additional income for you.

Lastly, you might want to read Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki (even though the book offers few details, and his Rich Dad is fictional, it's motivational and its basic message is correct; I recommend you borrow it rather than buy it, because you'll never need to read it more than once) or The Richest Man in Babylon by George S. Clason (a very old book, but still in print, and a classic introduction to how to become rich).

Donald Trump was broke and then rich five times. When asked how he would make his next fortune if he got broke again, his reply was this...... Research and find the best Multi Level Marketing company I could and become a distributor. It has to have a high quality product and a great compensation plan. The audience laughed at his answer... he politely told them "That's why I'm here (on the stage, being asked how to be rich) and you're there (in the audience, wishing to be rich).

I figured that if I want to be rich, I should listen to what rich people say is the best way, so I did. I'm working full time on my job (Realtor) and part time on my fortune. (Network Marketing of the best nutritional supplement on the market)

No job or business guarantees you'll become a millionaire or trust me everyone and his mother would be doing it. Basically a large part of it depends on making the most out of opportunities and working smarter not harder.

Put simply explore some of the business opportunities availible out there. Some will work, some won't. I've worked several jobs and owned 2 businesses in my life and I've yet to become a millionaire so if you find one that guarantees the big bucks feel free to tell me.
