Go to below website & you'll get lots of "useful" information on Singapore.

However, if you're a buget traveller, I suggest the following which
are outside the normal tourist "routes" :-

1. Eat at hundreds of hawker stalls in Geyland Area serving mamy local cusines at fair price. Stay here too in a reasonably good and cheap hotel. Here too you get to experience the behind the scence night life of Singapoire - lots of female "tourist" plying their trade.
2. Visit Changi Village at night and be amazed too by the many very beautiful "Ah-Kuah" around.
3. Visit the newly renovated National Museum.
4. Don't forget to drop by Chinatown and Palau Ubin for old Singapore - especially the latter. Rent a bicycle & explore the small island.
5. Always eat at hawker centres that are all over Singapore but never go to Newton hawker centre - "the guillotine square".
6. Must visit place - Sentosa. If you don't visit this place, then you had not been to Singapore. Well, this is a must tourist spot but cheap though.
7. Now what else?.....check the tour booklets. Cheers!!!!

Go get yourself a copy of lonely planet for the latest scoop on Singapore. You will find budget accomodation listed plus tips on what budget travellers usually do in Singapore. While you are here, get yourself a bus guide and get a ticket pass for the lowest value. You can top up later. The cheapest entertainment you canfind is people watching. Food and public transportation is very cheap compared to other western countries. You can commune with nature at our various rainforest parks including Pulau Ubin, an island off Singapore 20 minutes away. Bring water and insect repellents with you. Mustapha Shopping Centre is an amazing place (I overhead one tourist repeating that many timees to herself).

Hello and Welcome to Singapore :)

As Singapore is food paradise, I'll advise you to take some walking tours around the areas rich in food and culture such as Katong, Malay Village, Little India, Chinatown and Bugis. If you'd like maps for the walking tours either visit www.makansutra.com or got to any visitor centre (There is one at Changi Airport itself or you can find one along Orchard road) where they will gladly supply you walking maps.

Also, to fully experience life in Singapore, you must visit the heartlands. The "heartlands" is where most of the locals live, these places are Bishan, Toa Payoh, Ang Mo kio.

Lastly, if you'd like to experience the sun, sand and sea, do head down to East Coast Park, where you can rent skates and bicycles. Kayaking is also available there. There is also East Coast Lagoon where the food centre is, seafood there is also pretty good. Chilli crab and pepper crabs are a must-try.

Have Fun!

GO AND SEE A DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY....if your hiccups have not stopped in 6 days and you have a serious medical problem.....if its been on and off then try taking a sip of water...and drink it upside down by taking a sip and leaving the water in your mount then bend down like you are touching your toes then force yourself to swallow the water.....I find it helps....
